Beckett By a Creek

We went to our friends' house this afternoon for a bbq. They have a really nice backyard that has a small creek running past. Beckett loved to throw rocks into the water. Later, there was a duck couple that came up from the water and we were able to feed them some crackers. I took a couple of pictures of Beckett in this idyllic setting that turned out pretty nice, even though it was just with my cracked iPhone's camera. I guess we can thank Beckett for that, since he's looking pretty awesome in his church shirts, which he refused to take off after church.

How is this news?

http://newsfeed.time.com/2010/05/23/baby-beckett-tastes-pop-rocks/

Somehow our 2 year old video of Beckett eating poprocks has gone viral. It has over 131,000 views. Several major websites have randomly featured it and we've had requests from others like Cheezburger to feature it still more. Youtube told us we could monetize it somehow and G4 TV's Web Soup Show asked us if they could feature it. We said no. Well, actually we said nothing, which when you need a release, is a no. For the most part people are positive, but there are people who think we should have our children taken away from us for the horrible child abuse we perpetrated on defenseless Beckett. And evidently my off the cuff, "In the name of experimental parenting" has had way too much read into it. So we have removed all our videos from Youtube, except the poprocks video because quite frankly we are now a little interested to see how many hits it will get before it inevitably goes back into the faceless anonymity of cyberspace where we meant for it to stay. This means that if you look at old videos on our blog that are Youtube videos they will no longer be there. We are one step away from a private blog...

Beckett on a bike

It's warm enough now that we can finally get some good use out of the bike Beckett got for Christmas.

He loves his bike. You can tell from his crazy love eyes.

As long as someone is pushing him that is.

He's not a fan of that whole pedaling thing.
About 4 minutes into our idyllic, Norman Rockwell, teach your child to ride a bike, wholesome family evening he said, "How about we play basketball."

Instead of taking up precious child adoration space with my worthless achievements ;-) I've decided to start a new blog. I am working my way through my knitting library. If you're interested check out the new

One more sweater

This one actually fits Ciaran.

Too bad it's 90 degrees and 90% humidity. Hopefully it still fits in a year. I'd give it away but I'm not pleased with how the sleeves turned out. (I turned it out that way weird, they do both point the same direction. It's another issue that is noticeable to me in person.)

I do love those cute buttons though.
