As you can see Ciaran is 18 lb 5oz. Unfortunately this is still not on the charts but it is really close.
If you peek at the bottom right of the picture you can see he's also 27.5 inches tall. This is also not on the charts but it's like right below the line. So close to touching.His head is 18 inches in circumference which is on the charts. It's the 25%. Ah, my big head kids.
He's still growing well and following his own growth curve. Hopefully by his 15 month appointment all of him will be on the charts.
I don't think Mayci OR Tegan were 20 pounds at their one year check up...then there was my big tubby Jayden that was gigantor and in the 99th percentile in all his measurements.

He is darling. But surely, they're using the VLBW charts, right? Because he would definitely be "on the chart", then and that's clearly the chart they should be using given his birth weight.
ReplyDeleteYes, using the adjusted charts it's not a problem, but I always like to see how he compares to the "average" child. I'm excited to see where he finally intersects with the regular charts.
ReplyDeleteOH BABY! Ciaran you have the cutest "Cupie Doll " face. He is just getting so big and even looks chubby in the picture. Can't wait to give him lots of hugs and kisses this summer.
