The Streak Ends

I know this will sound shocking, but last night......I threw up. Multiple times. I am not exaggerating when I say it has been well over a decade since I vomited. I hate it, I HATE IT so much. And yes for those of you now weondering how I got Beckett here, I managed that pregnancy without one upchuck. I don't normally broadcast that for fear that everyone I know with a child will band together and strike me down. But like Seinfeld, I met my black and white cookie in our Chinese food lunch. I will not give the name lest I slander unjustly, but I'm pretty sure it's their fault. I'm just devastated by this. Perhaps I should look on the bright side and since the floodgates have been opened explore the exciting world of bulimia....

  1. hmmmm...maybe you ARE pregnant?! That would be so cool!

I can't say I feel bad for you, but I am sure sorry!!!! IT SUCKS!!!

Food poisoning is the worst. I have never been more violently ill than I was with that. In fact, maybe i do feel sorry for you.

I like the picture. Did Chris take that? Hes got an eye..

  2. I'm in the club of upchuck haters. Seeing how I never have been nor never will be pregnant, I won't grab a pitch fork and torch and yell for the mob. My wife on the other hand might, so I'll try to keep this quite on this topic.

  3. I am truly sorry your non-throw-up streak has ended. Your old streak makes mine pale greatly in comparison. The last time I upchucked was during a bout with the flu during Christmas 2004. I cried, not only because I hate vomiting, but because at the time my streak was previously from 1992 (sun poisoning after mini-golfing). Man, that must have been some potent Chinese food if your body didn't even want to digest that!!!

  6. Mt streak is still going strong...about 17 or 18 years. And I too am one of those...almost 6 months in and no upheaveals to speak of!! Anyone know what the world record is for not vomiting??
Sorry to hear you'll be out of the running Dawnell!! Can't wait to visit in a few weeks!

  7. I couldn't even tell you the last time I threw up. EW. I'm so sorry! I will do anything to keep things in my stomach where they belong. I got chills reading your story... I'm sorry that you're feeling so yucky.

  8. Hey Dawnell, just thought I'd check in and see how you are doing. Hope you are feeling much better today. Chad and I got food poisoning during a family reunion and it was awful. So we feel for ya! Make sure to let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

  10. It's funny you'd say you hate vommiting because I'd say the larger portion of the people I know just love it. That twisting feeling that starts in your stomach and rises up your throat until you just know that if you don't make it to the bathroom soon your corn checks with bananas is going to end up on the floor. Then there's the ever so humbling experience of having your face in possibly one of the most unappealing places a face could be. I think that in itself might be the real reason one pukes. Who wouldn't want all that? I don't get it. :-)

I have to say, I'm glad it's over. While your in the midst, doesn't it feel like it will never end?

(I loved your Seinfeld reference, btw)
