What happens to a dream deferred?

It explodes into a frenzy of rock greatness!

After waiting two decades I was finally able to see the Police in concert this Wednesday night. It was AWESOME!!!! They may be old but they can still rock. They played all their old great stuff. I was a little sad that I didn't get Tea in the Sahara, which "super fan" Taudine claimed was a Sting solo song but is actually on Synchronicity. It is one of my very favorite songs. Oh well. We still got Walking on the Moon, Message in a Bottle, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, Roxanne and Every Breath You Take as well as myriad other songs from all their albums. As you can see from above I enjoyed myself greatly.

So did Taudine and Taylor.

So did a sold out audience.

Chris and I took the subway to the concert. Madison Square Garden connects to Penn Station underground and it's a little confusing to figure out where you're going. Thankfully there were some handy signs specifically directing us to the concert.

Oh, we put on the red light! Roxanne......

  1. Nothing is better than fulfilling life long dreams. Although I am trying to picture you as a 10 year old rocking out to the Police.
I have one concert left to go before I can die happily... will someone help it to come true? Not that I want to die soon, I want it to happen before THEY die! lol

  2. The sister who went to the concert with me is about 7 years older than I am. She did indeed teach me to rock out to the Police at a young age.

I'm glad your sister was with you to experience the rock greatness.

  6. I didn't know there was any such thing as "rock and roll" when I was a child. My parents listened to "talk radio" and that's it. When I was in sixth grade a girl told me about "FM radio", I couldn't believe it! For this reason I am sad to say I am not well versed in most 80's music, except Tiffany, and Debbie Gibson. They are both awesome...maybe Tiffany will have a come back concert and then my dream will come true...that or the beach boys.
